West Wind is a locally owned and operated family business that has been in Marlow since 2000. We grew up and still live in the Marlow area. We feel like we can identify with the people of Marlow and their families because WE ARE THE PEOPLE OF MARLOW AND THEIR FAMILIES! We know our residents by first name, we know their interests, and we feel that they are a part of our family.

Owners - The Gregston family has been in the Marlow area for more than 80 years. Their involvement in nursing and medical care started with Dr Jack L Gregston when he opened his hospital in 1954. He later opened Gregston Nursing Home in 1957. Dr Gregston's family is now continuing this family heritage as West Wind is owned by 3 of his sons: Lynn Gregston, Jerry Gregston, and Jeff Gregston and their spouses, along with 2 of Dr Gregston's grandsons: Jay Gregston and Jack Gregston and their spouses. We have a strong history of caring for your loved one in the Marlow/Duncan area.

"I have enjoyed working with elderly since my time in college when I worked in a geriatric counseling facility. Getting to know the people is what the job is all about for me. The stories and life experiences that make up each and every resident are simply amazing. The Story about a your parents having to walk to school uphill both ways in the snow everyday just to get there never seemed to be true until you sit down for a conversation with the elderly. Hard times, good times and family have molded these people into who and what they are today. If everyone got the chance to receive even a little bit of insight from this generation they would be blessed. I consider it a privilege to get to know the residents and to help them remain as independent as they can and want to be."

"I started my nursing career at the age of 16 as a nursing assistant. I followed my mothers footsteps into the nursing profession at the age of 23. I enjoy taking care of the elderly population. Working with the elderly is all I have known since becoming a nurse 21 years ago. I was told by a previous supervisor that I should treat every patient like they were my grandparent or my parent, and still after 21 years in the nursing profession I still try to treat every patient in that way."
